Summary

Kate and Charlie were going to get married. Charlie went to Paris alone because Kate was afraid about flying. One day, Charlie phoned Kate to tell her that he felt in love with a French goddess. 

Kate faced her fear and sat on the plane to go to Paris and save the love of her life. By the way, she met a French man Luc who used her to pass some material from Toronto to Paris, so he hid a vine with a necklace into Kate's bag. At the end, someone stole her luggage with Luc's necklace in, so he helped her to find it.

They got back the bag but not the passport and money. When Kate discovered that Luc used her to pass the necklace she got very angry. Kate was ready to do whatever was necessary to recover her love, and she decided to go to Cannes, but the trip changed everything... A true love story began...

Luc Teyssier

Hi, I'm Luc and I'm a drunkard, a kleptomatic and a impotent man from La Ravelle. My family had a big vineyard, but I lost it because I lost a single hand poker with my brother, so he inherited all the vineyard and I went away from my village because I was sick to death of beeing th man who lost his birthright. For that I became a thief. I went to Toronto and I stole a necklace and a vine to start a new vineyard. I mate Kate during the trip to Paris, and I used her bag to pass my necklace and the vine. But in Kate's Hôtel my friend stole her luggage, so I helped her to recover her luggage and my things. I stole a car to go to my friend's house and during the trip she spoke about my little problem. When we arrived to the thief's house he told us that he has bought everything except the little bag - but the passport and the money weren't there- and the vine. Then, after that, Kate got very angry because I used her like bullshit and she went  to recovered her love who had cheated her with a goddess. And I followed her because she had my necklace. When I met her she was eating and she got sick and we had to stop in la Ravelle's station. We met my brother and I had to hit him once or twice, nothing exceptional.  Finally we arrived to Cannes, a beautiful city and we met Charlie and Juliette, the goddess. At night Kate and Charlie went to have dinner and I stayed with Juliette. My little problem was solved! But when I was with Juliette at bed I said " Kate, oh, Kate", so Juliette got angry and she throwed me away, so I went to Kate's room. I think that night I fell in love... Next morning Kate went to the jewlery and she returned with a lot of money. Then Kate was going to return to Canada, but finally she decided to stay here, in France, with me, with our vineyard...

CRASH

STEP 1: THE TITLE: CRASH

What does the title CRASH mean? 

I think that the title CRASH means that the film explain a collide of cultures, traditions and people that makes people change the way to see the life. And sometimes it is the person who you don't explect who makes changes you. We have a life which goes very quickly, so it's easier to crash with someone else. Also in the film there are a lot of car crashes.

STEP 2:THE OPENING MONOLOGUE

Graham has just crashed.   
The car is now stopped.   
This is what he says:
“It's the sense of touch. Any real city, you walk, you know?, you brush past people. 
People bump into you.
In L.A., nobody touches you.  We're always behind this metal and glass.
I think we miss that touch so much that we crash into each other just so that we can feel 
something.”


I think it means that in LA nobody touches you, people are individualist, they always go into the car, so they crash into each other because they miss contact between people.

STEP 3: WRITING A SUMMARY

Write down the characters' names

and the different stories in the film.

Graham Waters and his partner Ria: They're detective and they are investigating a crime scene. Graham is Peter's older brother. 

Farhad, his wife and their daughter Dorri: They're persian and they've got a shop. Farhad buy a revolver, but he had problems to buy because the shop owner was racist.. Farhad has a door broken and he call a locksmith who tells him that he have to change the door. Farhad didn't change the door and they attack his shop.

Anthony and Peter: They're two black guys and they're carjackers. They stole Rick's car and they run over a Korean person, but finally they burn the car.

Daniel Ruiz: he is a locksmith and he works at Farhad's shop and Rick and Jean's house. He has a five-years-old and he gaves to her a invisible and impenetrable cloak.

John Ryan and Tom Hansen: They're policeman. John Ryan is very racist and his father has an urinary infection. Tom is his partner who doesn't agree with John's attitude.

Rick Cabot and Jean: Anthony and Peter stole their car. Rick is the district attorney and he wants the black community's vote but he's reallty racist. Finally, Jean find uot that her unique friend is her Hispanic maid.

Cameron Thayer and his wife: he's a Hollywood director who is oppressed by his white-skinned partners. One night John and Tom stopped their car and John made some indecent touchings to Cameron's wife.

STEP 4: WRITING THE  STORY

4.1.write a summary.

Daniel Ruiz is an Hispanic locksmith who has a five-year-old daughter. He worked for Cabot's family and Farhad's shop. He told to Farhad that he has to replace the door, but he didn't do it. That night someone sack the Persian shop. So Farhad got angry and decided to kill the locksmith. When Farhad arrived to Daniel's house, he aimed him with his gun. Daniel's daughter jumped into her father's arm and she stopped the bullet.

STEP 5: CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Peter Waters is a black young man and he is Graham's younger brother. 

He had faith on God and he always put a Virgin on the car. He did't belive that all white people is racist and he always discuss with his friend Anthony for this.

This poor character didn't evolucion in the story, because in the beginning he thought that people is good, and he died for his innocence.

Plot

The English king, Edward I, called a truce. The Scottish nobles came to MacAndrews' farm without weapons. William saw the bodies of thirty Scottish nobles, thirty boys and one farmer. Malcolm and John Wallace went to attack the English. Hamish's father brought the bodies of William's father and brother. A little girl handed William a purple flower. William went to Uncle Argyle's house in Rome. Some years after William returned to Scotland to be a farmer and he married Murron secretly. The English noble killed Murron, so William killed the English and he decided to fight against them.

After the battle of Stirling, William Wallace was famous all over Scotland. He rode into Edinburgh and up to the castle, his friends at his side. The people looked at him with wide eyes like children. The nobles in their fine clothes did not understand how an ordinary man could win a great battle like that, when the Bruces and Balliols could not. Robert the Bruce was now out of prision and he stood among the other nobles as William walked into the castle. He could see at once that this Wallace would never serve any other man. A man began to read: "In the name of God, Sir William Wallace, we make you First Lord of Scotland!"...

He is the farmer's son who died when he was fighting against the English. He is in love with murron and they married secretely. When the English killed Murron, Wallace begin to fight against them. Later, he is in love with Isabelle. He died in London.
